Biomechanics To achieve proper pedaling biomechanics, Precor designed the recumbent bike to maintain similar biomachines to those developed for the upright bike. This means setting the seat rail angle with an offset from the crank to facilitate efficient pedaling and reduce shear force on the knee. The seat rail angle is 15 degrees with a slight offset from the crank axis. This places the knee directly over the ball of the foot (or pedal axle) when the pedals are in the 2 and 8 o'clock positions.
Frame Two-step powder coating process on steel frame.
Seat The new compact molded backrest features a "floating" suspension system that allows the backrest to move with the user for unparalleled comfort. The ergonomic, curved design and abundant ventilation further enhance user comfort, and the polypropylene material is virtually indestructible.
Bearings The pedal axles and bearings are designed for smooth operation and exceptional durability.
Seat adjustment The simple seat adjustment allows the user to change the seat position with one hand, on or off the bike.
Handlebar The oversized single-sided pedals with integrated pedal strap comfortably fit feet of all sizes, allowing for proper pedaling posture. The weighted pedals make it easy to place your foot on the pedal.
Pedals The oversized single-sided pedals with integrated pedal strap comfortably fit feet of all sizes, allowing for proper pedaling posture. The weighted pedals make it easy to place your foot on the pedal.
Cross-step design The RBK 635 recumbent bike features a step-through design with a very low step-over height.
Ergonomics The cockpit is designed with solid ergonomics in mind. The seat cushions are angled for optimal comfort, maximum lower back support, and minimal interference with the operator's leg movement. The console is mounted at an optimal viewing angle, with the machine's controls easily accessible.
